Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the IRLchat iOS app ("the app") and the IRLchat relay service ("the service"), operated by IRLchat ("we", "us"). By using the app or service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
1. What IRLchat does
IRLchat is a companion tool for livestreamers that connects to your Twitch, Kick, YouTube and TikTok accounts to display your live chat and stream events in a single feed, and to let you send messages and perform moderation actions you initiate. TikTok is supported for reading your LIVE chat only.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding agreement. IRLchat is intended for streamers and their moderators.
3. Accounts and platform connections
- You authenticate through the official OAuth flows of Twitch, Kick, Google/YouTube and TikTok. You are responsible for maintaining the security of those accounts and your device pairing.
- You authorise the service to use the tokens you grant solely to deliver chat, events and moderation on your behalf.
- You must comply with the terms, policies and developer agreements of any platform you connect, including the Twitch, Kick, YouTube and TikTok terms of service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to harass, abuse, spam, or violate the rights of others.
- Send content that is unlawful, or that breaks the rules of a connected platform.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data.
- Use the service to circumvent platform rate limits, quotas, or moderation systems.
5. Third-party platforms and content
IRLchat relies on and interoperates with third-party services (Twitch, Kick, Google/YouTube, TikTok, optional ElevenLabs AI voices, and any web overlays you configure such as StreamElements). We do not control those services, are not responsible for their availability or content, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. Chat messages and events are the content of their authors and the respective platforms.
6. Service availability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and platform changes outside our control may interrupt functionality.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IRLchat is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IRLchat and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or service.
9. Termination
You may stop using IRLchat at any time and disconnect from within the app, which removes the device pairing token from your device. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or a connected platform's rules.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
